I would like to speak shortly about the day spent in Bonn.
First of all, it was a special trip, because I went to visit Valentina, a girl studying at my same university in Italy. We both said we wouldn’t have expected to meet there, not because we didn’t have a good relationship, but because we had never had the opportunity of getting to know each other outside of the university context. However, I must say we both realized we have changed a lot due to this experience and, after getting to know eachother more, we found out we have also some common personality traits.
As far as the city, we walked through the main square, where there is a church which is currently being renovated, so we only visited its cloister. Then we went to the university, which I really liked, because it gave me the idea of a medieval structure, almost like a theater inside, and a park behind it. After that, we went to the townhall, a nice structure like most of the German townhalls. Unfortunately, I have no pictures, because it was not allowed to take any, but I visited Beethoven’s house (you should visit it!). Another place I would suggest, for those who like candy, the Haribo shop, which offers a lot of choices at good prices.
In the end, since the two cities are not very far from eachother, I went back to Cologne to visit the cathedral again.
Talk to you soon,
